About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer for the professional seminar EDPS 610-002 (Fall 2026). The course focuses on equity, diversity, and inclusion in education, using case‑based learning, digital technology integration, and collaborative teacher development.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver weekly seminar sessions on equity‑oriented teaching practices.
  • Facilitate reflective discussions, case analyses, and digital tool integration.
  • Provide ongoing support and debrief for concurrent internship experiences.
  • Document professional competencies and curate artifacts for a teacher portfolio repository.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and program staff to ensure cohesive course delivery.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with a strong grounding in teacher development and reflective practice.
  • Significant secondary‑school teaching experience, preferably in Quebec.
  • Experience supporting teacher candidates in field placements or internships.
  • Demonstrated expertise in equity, diversity, inclusion, case‑based pedagogy, and digital technology integration.
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussion‑based, relational learning environments on complex professional issues.
  • Commitment to collaborative planning across course sections and program levels.
