Course Lecturer – Leadership Theory in Education

About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach the graduate course EDEM 673-001 – Leadership Theory in Education during the Fall 2026 term. The position involves delivering three credit hours of in‑person instruction, fostering critical discussion of leadership theories, and integrating equity‑focused pedagogical practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures on Monday evenings (5:35 pm‑8:25 pm) in Education Building (EDUC 433).
• Design and assess assignments, exams, and class participation.
• Incorporate digital tools such as myCourses and Zoom to enhance learning.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that reflects diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field; a master’s degree with extensive experience may be considered.
• Expert knowledge of reflexive and critical praxis and contemporary educational leadership theories.
• Proven experience teaching similar graduate‑level courses.
• Experience as a school administrator or institutional leader within the Quebec education system.

Required skills

• Proficiency with myCourses learning management system.
• Experience using Zoom for instructional purposes.
