Course Lecturer – Leadership Theory in Education (Fall 2026)

About the role

McGill University’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education seeks a Course Lecturer to teach “Leadership Theory in Education” (EDEM 673‑026) in the Fall 2026 term. The position is fully online, delivering three credits to graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly online lectures on Wednesdays from 5:35 pm to 8:25 pm.
• Present theory and research on educational leadership, including styles, strategies, and communication practices.
• Design and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.
• Incorporate equity, diversity and inclusion principles into course content and delivery.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field; a master’s degree with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
• Expert knowledge of reflexive and critical praxis and a wide range of educational leadership theories.
• Proven experience teaching similar graduate‑level courses.
• Experience as a school administrator or institutional leader within the Quebec education system.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

Required skills

• Proficiency with myCourses, Zoom and other online teaching platforms.
• Ability to use a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
• Demonstrated capacity to embed equity, diversity and inclusion in pedagogy.
