About the role

McGill University’s Department of Global and Public Health seeks a Course Lecturer to deliver the Fall 2026 GPHL 302 Knowledge Translation course. The role involves guiding graduate students through key concepts, principles, and practices that shape health policies and programs for disadvantaged populations in resource‑constrained settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver three‑hour weekly lectures on Wednesdays (14:30‑17:30) and facilitate interdisciplinary discussions.
  • Critically appraise existing knowledge and guide its application to global and public health policy development.
  • Design and assess course materials, assignments, and examinations.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse knowledge systems beyond Western biomedical models.

Required profile

  • PhD in global health, health systems, or a closely related interdisciplinary field.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in health policy, knowledge translation, or related subjects.
  • Expertise in bridging public‑health evidence with policy and practice, including familiarity with non‑Western knowledge systems.
  • Experience with civil‑society or multilateral organizations is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work on the Montreal campus.
