Course Lecturer – Integrating Educational Technology

About the role

The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach EDPT 200-001: Integrating Educational Technology in Classrooms during the Fall 2026 term. This is a hands‑on, project‑based course that helps future teachers apply constructivist principles to technology‑enhanced instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate project‑based learning activities (Mon 18:05‑20:55, Aug 31‑Dec 4, 2026).
• Design and assess authentic technology‑integration assignments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date course content reflecting current advances in educational technology.
• Provide timely feedback and evaluate student performance.

Required profile

• PhD in Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of constructivist learning theory and its application to technology in teaching.
• Experience designing, applying, and evaluating educational technology across diverse contexts.
• Prior college/university teaching or research experience, with satisfactory teaching evaluations.

Required skills

• Ability to integrate emerging technologies into classroom practice.
• Strong understanding of constructivist instructional design.
