Course Lecturer – Instruction in Inclusive Schools

About the role

The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach EDPI 341 – Instruction in Inclusive Schools for the Fall 2026 term. This is a union‑protected, course‑by‑course appointment focused on preparing future educators to design and implement inclusive learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate classroom activities on Monday evenings (18:05‑20:55) from August 31 to December 4, 2026.
• Develop, plan, and evaluate learning programs that address diverse learner needs.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with students, families, and other educators to support inclusive practices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date course content reflecting current research and policy requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Educational Psychology, Human Development, Applied Psychology, Child Development, Clinical Psychology, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of educational and psychological theories and their application in authentic settings.
• Experience teaching at the college or university level in related subjects.
• Professional experience teaching K‑12 and familiarity with the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MELS) requirements.
• Experience working with students who have diverse needs and a solid understanding of inclusive education concepts.
