Course Lecturer – Honours Seminar in International Development

About the role
The Institute for the Study of International Development seeks a Course Lecturer to teach INTD 498 Honours Seminar in International Development. The semester‑long course runs from August 31 to December 4, 2026, offering three credits and focusing on themes such as conflict, migration, environment, governance, health, and climate change.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly lectures and facilitate discussions for a 3‑credit seminar.
- Develop and update course materials, including readings, assignments, and assessment criteria.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, and examinations.
- Maintain office hours and provide academic guidance to students.
- Optionally submit teaching evaluations and a brief course outline.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a related discipline (PhD preferred).
- Demonstrated research and experience in international development.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
- Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
