Course Lecturer – Fundamentals of Decision Analytics

About the role

The Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach the Fall 2026 offering of Fundamentals of Decision Analytics (MGSC 640 025). The lecturer will deliver three credit hours of instruction to MBA students, covering quantitative decision‑making techniques and their application to business problems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures on Mondays from 11:35 am to 2:25 pm throughout the semester (Aug 31 – Dec 4 2026).
• Design course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students, fostering a managerial perspective on analytics.
• Maintain accurate records of class hours (total 39) and grading.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in analytics, data science, management science, statistics or a closely related quantitative discipline (Ph.D. is an asset).
• Demonstrated experience applying decision analytics to business problems in a professional or research setting.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience in analytics or quantitative methods is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
