About the role

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach EPSC 233 – Earth and Life Through Time. The instructor will guide students through the evolution of the planet and life, emphasizing stratigraphic rocks and fossils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays (01:05 pm‑02:25 pm) in SADB 1/12.
• Design and adapt assessments, including quizzes, assignments, and final examinations.
• Manage the course, develop exam materials, and contribute to grading.
• Supervise teaching assistants based on enrollment (forecast 90 students).

Required profile

• PhD in Earth Sciences or a closely related field.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
