About the role
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach EPSC 233 – Earth and Life Through Time. The instructor will guide students through the evolution of the planet and life, emphasizing stratigraphic rocks and fossils.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays (01:05 pm‑02:25 pm) in SADB 1/12.
- Design and adapt assessments, including quizzes, assignments, and final examinations.
- Manage the course, develop exam materials, and contribute to grading.
- Supervise teaching assistants based on enrollment (forecast 90 students).
Required profile
- PhD in Earth Sciences or a closely related field.
- Prior university‑level teaching experience.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
