Course Lecturer – Classroom-based Evaluation (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach the Fall 2026 offering of EDEE 355-004, Classroom-based Evaluation. The course focuses on evaluation practices in kindergarten and elementary programs, covering data collection, interpretation, and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver three‑credit, classroom‑based instruction on evaluation methods for pre‑service teachers.
• Design and facilitate practical activities that apply assessment techniques in elementary settings.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in course coordination meetings at least two weeks before the start date.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) and a teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in elementary schools, preferably within the Quebec system.
• Strong knowledge of the Quebec Education Program and related professional competencies.
• Ability to teach fluently in French.
• Commitment to collaborative work with a team of instructors.
