Course Lecturer – Child and Adolescent Therapy (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach EDSP 619 – Child and Adolescent Therapy during the Fall 2026 term. This is a three‑credit, non‑team‑taught course delivered in‑person on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions on therapeutic models for individual and group interventions with children and adolescents.
• Prepare and update course materials to reflect current research, gender, and cultural minority considerations.
• Assess student performance through assignments, case studies, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to departmental evaluation standards.

Required profile

• PhD in School Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience assessing children.
• Licensed psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated satisfactory teaching evaluations for this or related courses.
• Evidence of continuing education (at least 15 CE hours per year) if three or more years post‑degree.
