About the role
The grader will assess quizzes, homework, exams, presentations and other assignments for the FACC 150 Foundations of Engineering Practice and Communication course. The role involves grading, posting grades, and returning assessments with constructive feedback to support student learning.
Key responsibilities
- Grade assignments and exams following the instructor‑provided guidelines and rubrics.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback to students on written work and other assessments.
- Maintain accuracy, fairness, and consistency in all grading activities.
- Enter grades into MyCourses and/or Excel files and keep records up to date.
- Meet all grading deadlines and return feedback promptly.
- Support student learning by offering timely feedback and clarifications.
Required profile
- Familiarity with the course content (e.g., completion of FACC 100, 250, 400 or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in progress.
- Strong written communication skills in English and ability to give constructive feedback.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistent application of grading rubrics.
- Organizational and time‑management skills to meet grading deadlines.
- Experience with MyCourses, Excel, or other learning‑management systems is an asset.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work on the McGill campus.
