Corporate Accounting Manager

About the role

The Corporate Accounting Manager will join a fast‑growing construction and development firm that acquires and builds investment properties across BC and Alberta. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, cash‑flow management and investor reporting for the group of entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for all group entities.
• Compile corporate tax returns, tax working papers and assist with tax planning deliverables.
• Manage weekly corporate cash‑flow forecasts and assist with budgeting and overhead expense tracking.
• Prepare monthly asset‑management packages, including budget vs. actual, cash‑flow and operating budget analysis.
• Coordinate real‑estate reporting requirements such as lender, CMHC, Empty Homes Tax and Speculation & Vacancy Tax filings.
• Support the VP of Finance in designing policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Register GST and corporate tax accounts for newly created entities and assist with entity wind‑up, dissolution or amalgamation.
• Handle special projects and ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• CPA designation with 3–5 years of experience in construction or real‑estate development accounting.
• Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements, tax filings, payroll and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Detail‑oriented, strong communicator and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Sage 300 ERP (or similar ERP) proficiency.
• Tax filing and GST registration knowledge.
