Copywriter

About the role

Leo Burnett Toronto, part of Publicis Groupe, is looking for a Copywriter. You will support and sometimes lead the creative vision for projects, producing high-quality copy that fits the brand identity and objectives. You will work closely with an art director and cross-functional teams on print, digital and multimedia campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Work with an art director to develop ideas for integrated advertising campaigns covering websites, social media, OOH, digital content, broadcast, experiential and more.
• Develop and present creative concepts that meet project objectives and strengthen the brand.
• Oversee campaign execution from concept to hand-off, keeping brand guidelines and quality standards in mind.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate design solutions.
• Manage several projects at once, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and design innovations.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or similar in Copywriting, Journalism or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in a creative agency.
• Strong portfolio showing creative projects and conceptual thinking across platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to solve complex design challenges.

• Salary range of CAD 75,000 to 85,000 per year, depending on experience, knowledge, skills and certifications.
