Assistant Media Planner

About the role

Zenith, part of Publicis Media, is hiring an Assistant Planner in Toronto. You will join a Strategy team that turns human insights into measurable results. Strategy Assistants receive in-depth training and build their skills through on-the-job experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Planners and Supervisors in managing and executing approved media plans
• Help develop and organize data and media research supporting plans and recommendations
• Build an understanding of client and competitive business
• Learn Starcom proprietary tools and industry platforms, and develop a strong working knowledge of how to use them
• Manage contracts and insertion orders and related revisions with media vendors through campaign stewardship platforms (DDS/Prisma)
• Address discrepant media invoices and assist with the billing process
• Update blocking charts, budgets and budget summaries, and maintain competitive media reports and technical support for presentation materials

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; advertising, marketing, business administration or communications preferred
• Track record of success in post-secondary studies and previous employment
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical ability and math proficiency
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tell a story
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Able to work in teams, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate work

Required skills

• Technical proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Starcom tools and media planning platforms (DDS/Prisma)
