About the role

Goodmans LLP is seeking a Coordinator, Marketing and Business Development to support the firm’s market recognition and business development initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the role will manage directory submissions, maintain databases, and help promote the firm’s achievements.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual directory and award submissions process, ensuring drafts, reviews, and timely submission; create communication plans; schedule research interviews; manage rankings and progress trackers.
  • Maintain internal market recognition and league‑table calendars, tracking deadlines and alerting key stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external ranking organisations and league tables, staying updated on guidelines.
  • Summarise directory and award results, share insights with senior team members, and act as the go‑to resource for market‑recognition activities.
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing and Client Relations team to promote the firm’s successes internally and externally.
  • Understand corporate transaction and litigation terminology to edit and draft matter descriptions.
  • Proactively review market sources, prepare matter descriptions, and draft/update firm profiles and lawyer bios for the website and legal directories.
  • Incorporate Artificial Intelligence tools responsibly to improve processes, efficiency, and submission quality.
  • Ensure accolades and experience databases are current and accurate.
  • Assist with general business‑development material requests as needed.

Required profile

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with legal market‑recognition processes and directory submissions.
  • Ability to understand and edit descriptions of corporate transactions and litigation matters.
  • Proactive research skills to identify firm news and relevant market sources.
  • Excellent written communication for drafting submissions, profiles, and bios.
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external ranking bodies.
  • Comfort using AI tools and information systems to enhance efficiency.
