Coordinator, Construction Services

About the role

The Coordinator, Construction Services ensures that construction, professional services and service contracts are executed in compliance with contractual and quality requirements. Based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, the role involves daily interaction with contractors, consultants and client‑partners to manage scope, schedule and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor moderate‑ to high‑complexity contracts, ensuring work meets contractual specifications and quality standards.
• Resolve day‑to‑day contractual issues, negotiate change orders and review progress claims.
• Track and control project schedules, maintain site activity records and coordinate with client‑partner representatives.
• Collaborate with site teams, other service lines and external stakeholders to align activities and manage risks.
• Oversee contract financials and coordinate consultant reviews and third‑party quality assurance testing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, industrial security and environmental regulations.
• Perform human‑resources functions such as coaching, supervising, mentoring and performance management for the team.

Required profile

• College diploma in engineering, applied science or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Preferred: university degree in engineering or architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to apply project, contract and risk‑management techniques to construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of construction best practices, legislation, products and materials.
• Leadership and human‑resources management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer software and operating systems used in construction project management.
