About the role
The Coordinator will oversee daily operations of the BirdCoop Bouldering Centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students and community members. This role blends staff leadership, financial oversight, and program delivery within a vibrant campus recreation setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage front‑line staff including recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, issue resolution and performance evaluation.
- Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures and programming policies.
- Handle cash transactions, reconciliation and financial reporting for memberships, events and program sales.
- Coordinate bouldering equipment inventory, maintenance and safety checks.
- Produce regular operational reports and support membership and event sales initiatives.
- Adapt work schedule to seasonal and facility needs, spending approximately 25% of time at a desk.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing front‑line staff in a recreation, sports or similar environment.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and policy enforcement.
