About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Garden Sushi Restaurant in Merritt, BC. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking Japanese dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and keep records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of cooking experience, preferably in Japanese cuisine.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Interest in working in a restaurant environment.
