About the role

Manchu Wok is seeking a dedicated Cook to work in its fast‑paced cafeteria in Saskatoon. The role involves preparing a variety of Cantonese, Szechuan and Dim Sum dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and associated costs for menu items.
• Plan menus, estimate food requirements and requisition supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including options for customers with allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience working in a cafeteria, fast‑food outlet or concession.
• Dependable, flexible, organized, reliable team player with strong time‑management skills.
• Successful criminal record check.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Cantonese, Szechuan and Dim Sum cuisine preparation.
• Menu planning and food portioning.
