Cook – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team at IGA des Sources Charlesbourg. This full‑time permanent role involves preparing a variety of international dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant, cafeteria, and coffee‑shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and associated costs.
• Plan menus, estimate food requirements and requisition supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals as directed by a dietitian or chef.
• Inspect kitchen and service areas, maintain inventory records, and ensure cleanliness.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage overall kitchen operations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, or coffee‑shop setting.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong client focus, dependability, flexibility, organization, reliability, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
