Cook – Full-time Kitchen Position

About the role

Spice Valley Indian Cuisine is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve high-quality Indian dishes at our Esquimalt, BC location. The role includes managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and delivering excellent service to guests.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Prepare special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
  • Manage overall kitchen operations.

Required profile

  • 2 to less than 3 years of kitchen experience.
  • No formal degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Relocation costs covered by the employer.
