Cook – Catering Events

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced cook to join its catering team in Victoria. You will work on a variety of special events, preparing and cooking meals that meet menu specifications and dietary requirements. The role involves both hands‑on kitchen work and coordination of kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate special events, plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and foods for customers with allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking and safe handling practices.
• Organise buffets and banquets, manage kitchen operations and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
