Conversion-Operations Coordinator

About the role

Maersk Logistics & Services Canada provides end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics through its network of storage facilities. As a Conversion-Operations Coordinator, you provide administrative support to multi-shift terminal operations and act as a point of contact for processing and verifying shipment documentation, tracking incoming freight and preparing packages for shipment. The primary role supports the shipment of inbound and outbound freight, from freight moves in the yard to outbound.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound documentation
• Track incoming containers and help resolve issues as needed
• Prepare document packages for shipments using window-based shipping systems
• Coordinate documentation for incoming freight to ensure swift and accurate cargo movement
• Build outbound manifests and prepare paperwork for shipments
• Solve issues that affect inventory accuracy
• Support the Yard department with gate activities, equipment reconciliation reporting and equipment management
• Support Customer Service with systematic data entry and posting in the production system
• Confirm receipts in the system, which triggers financial action for some customers
• In fulfillment operations, handle all fulfillment functions such as wave production

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred; a high school degree equivalent and/or college degree
• At least 1 year of experience in supply chain or logistics
• Permanent US work authorization
• Self-starter who can work independently on time-sensitive tasks
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to meet customer expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work nights, holidays and weekends

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office products
• Use of window-based shipping systems
