Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

The Controller will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting for a fast‑growing manufacturing organization with operations in Canada and the United States. Reporting to senior leadership, the role supports strategic growth initiatives, ensures financial accuracy, and drives continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, fixed assets, cash management and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements for both Canadian and U.S. entities.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations and clearing account management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• Manage inventory valuation, manufacturing variance analysis, pricing adjustments, landed‑cost calculations and rebate tracking.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. GAAP, HST, U.S. sales/use tax, corporate tax reporting and payroll remittance obligations.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, proactive and highly organized finance professional.
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance and cross‑border operations.
• Ability to work closely with plant operations and executive leadership.
• Ambitious mindset with a long‑term goal of advancing to CFO‑level leadership.
