About the role

Peterboro Matboards, a family‑owned leader in the custom framing industry, is seeking a Controller to provide financial leadership across all functions. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Finance Committee, you will help shape strategic decisions and support the company’s growth and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash‑flow management.
• Maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and oversee accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve operational efficiency and support growth initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Required profile

• CPA designation and an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in manufacturing or small‑to‑mid‑sized organizations.
• Proven experience providing financial leadership and partnering with senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
