About the role

Moncer, a leader in high‑end residential hardwood floors and millwork, is seeking a Controller to oversee all financial operations within its production and distribution facility. This player‑coach position blends hands‑on accounting work with team leadership, driving accuracy, continuous improvement, and strategic insight.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Develop and maintain cash‑flow forecasts, monitor liquidity, banking relationships and debt compliance.
• Perform variance analysis, prepare management dashboards and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, valuation and controls, collaborating with operations and purchasing.
• Monitor foreign‑exchange exposure from European purchases and assist with hedging strategies.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors and auditors to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and ownership.
• Experience managing month‑end close and financial reporting in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Ability to mentor and develop a small accounting team.
• Comfortable rolling up sleeves to resolve complex accounting issues.
