Content Designer – 12‑Month Contract (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

We are seeking a Content Designer to shape the voice and messaging of high‑impact, consumer‑facing digital experiences. Working within a cross‑functional product squad, you will collaborate with designers, researchers, and product owners to create clear, inclusive copy that supports seamless user journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Develop content strategies that enhance user understanding across web and mobile products.
• Write concise, human‑centred copy ranging from microcopy and labels to explanatory text and go‑to‑market materials.
• Partner with designers, researchers, and product stakeholders to align content with design principles, brand standards, and accessibility best practices.
• Work with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure content meets all requirements without sacrificing clarity.
• Conduct content audits, competitive research, and testing to continuously improve messaging effectiveness.
• Champion inclusive design principles in all content decisions.

Required profile

• Professional writing experience in a creative agency or in‑house product/design team.
• Strong portfolio showcasing content design and UX writing for digital products.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and strategic thinking about content’s role in user experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
