About the role
The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) is seeking a Consultant for its Health Care Assistant (HCA) team. This 16‑month contract role will support the recruitment and registration of HCAs across British Columbia, helping to grow the province’s health‑care workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage initiatives that increase the number of qualified HCAs in BC.
- Communicate strategically with HCA applicants, guiding them through registration requirements and competency assessments.
- Monitor applicant progress, advise on funding opportunities, and develop individualized career action plans.
- Design, develop, and deliver workshops for HCAs and health‑care employers.
- Produce quarterly conversion metrics and collaborate with the team to set future targets.
Required profile
- Strong interest in making a positive impact on BC health‑care communities.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model and reside within commuting distance of the Vancouver office.
- Consultative approach with excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Experience in project coordination or recruitment initiatives is preferred.
