Construction Superintendent – Greater Ottawa

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will lead all on‑site activities for commercial, institutional and industrial projects in the Greater Ottawa area. You will ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence while acting as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, subcontractors and the internal project team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate trades, subcontractors and material deliveries to keep projects on track.
• Ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, codes and environmental standards.
• Provide safety leadership and enforce site safety protocols.
• Plan, schedule and control construction activities to meet milestones.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, architects and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in industrial, commercial or institutional construction.
• Direct site supervision of projects valued between $1 million and $10 million.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Eligibility for security clearances and a valid driver’s licence.
