Construction Services – Utility Field Coordinator (Greater Vancouver)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position supports utility and civil construction activities across the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. You will work closely with contractors, utilities, municipalities, inspectors and project teams to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities and oversee construction work on active sites.
• Complete daily reports, field observations and monitor compliance with drawings, permits, specifications and safety requirements.
• Assist with inspections, leak‑survey programs and infrastructure assessments.
• Collaborate with contractors, utilities, inspectors and other stakeholders.
• Support excavation, trenching, utility installations and restoration work.
• Identify and document deficiencies, risks and non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in active field environments.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Experience reading construction drawings and project documentation is an asset.

Required skills

• Ground Disturbance Level II certification (or equivalent).
• CSTS certification.
• Occupational First Aid certification.
• BC Hydro Electrical Safety for Trades & Workers certification.
• PCST certification.
• API 1169 certification.
