Construction Painters Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Painters Supervisor leads a small crew of painters and decorators on residential and commercial projects in Calgary. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure quality paint application, and manage material costs while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule painting activities for a crew of 3‑4 workers.
• Train staff or arrange external training on painting techniques and safety.
• Estimate material and labor costs and prepare cost‑effective quotes.
• Requisition, order, and manage inventory of paints, equipment, and supplies.
• Select appropriate paints, mix colors, and oversee surface preparation.
• Apply paint to small items and perform touch‑ups using brushes.
• Instruct apprentices and provide on‑site guidance.
• Supervise and co‑ordinate the overall work of painters and decorators.

Required profile

• 3 to less than 5 years of experience supervising painting crews.
• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Experience working in construction environments.
• Ability to lead a team of 3‑4 individuals.
