About the role

TD Insurance is seeking a Legal Counsel II to join its Ontario practice team. Reporting to a Practice Leader, the Counsel will handle a variety of insurance‑related legal matters and represent the company or its policyholders in civil litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned insurance legal matters, including drafting and revising legal documents.
• Represent TD Insurance or its policyholders in civil litigation involving personal injury or property damage claims.
• Work on cases of varying complexity, providing strategic legal advice.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
• Operate within a hybrid work model, based out of the Toronto office.

Required profile

• Experience handling civil litigation matters in the insurance sector.
• Ability to develop and revise appropriate legal documents.
• Strong analytical skills to address complex legal issues.
