About the role
TD Insurance is seeking a Legal Counsel II to join its Ontario practice team. Reporting to a Practice Leader, the Counsel will handle a variety of insurance‑related legal matters and represent the company or its policyholders in civil litigation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage assigned insurance legal matters, including drafting and revising legal documents.
- Represent TD Insurance or its policyholders in civil litigation involving personal injury or property damage claims.
- Work on cases of varying complexity, providing strategic legal advice.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
- Operate within a hybrid work model, based out of the Toronto office.
Required profile
- Experience handling civil litigation matters in the insurance sector.
- Ability to develop and revise appropriate legal documents.
- Strong analytical skills to address complex legal issues.

What we offer
- Competitive salary range of $135,000 – $180,000 CAD per year.
