Concrete Finisher – Skilled Tradesperson

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team in Calgary. The role involves on‑site concrete work across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, ensuring high‑quality finishes and compliance with specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement.
• Directly place concrete into forms and onto surfaces according to grade.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and fill hollows.
• Level the top surface of concrete to required depth and grade.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds, waterproof and damp‑proof surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace damaged concrete sections.
• Prepare tenders, quotations and estimate material costs.

Required profile

• Accurate with strong attention to detail.
• Good oral communication and client‑focused attitude.
• Flexible team player who can work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, bending, crouching and standing for long periods.

Required skills

• Operation of power vibrators for concrete compaction.
• Concrete leveling and finishing to grade specifications.
• Installation of anchor bolts and steel fixtures.
• Application of hardening, sealing and waterproofing compounds.
• Repair and resurfacing of concrete structures.
