Concrete Civil Superintendent

About the role

Aecon is seeking a Concrete Civil Superintendent to lead field execution of civil works across Western Canada. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in bid reviews to validate production estimates, constructability and quantities.
• Lead on‑site execution of concrete works, earthworks and underground utility installations.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, rebar drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate civil activities, monitor compliance with specifications, and enforce quality and safety standards.
• Track project progress, manage daily schedules and report cost performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil construction projects, preferably with a focus on concrete and earthwork.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality control procedures and contract compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage crews and subcontractors.
