Compliance Attorney – Regulatory Specialist (Remote)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a contract Compliance Attorney to help shape realistic regulatory scenarios for its AI research platforms. This remote position supports the development of high‑quality legal content and model behavior improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic regulatory scenarios, including AML/SAR preparation, OFAC screening, FCPA assessments, and FDA submissions.
• Write attorney‑level reference responses and grade AI‑generated answers against structured rubrics.
• Provide detailed written feedback to the research team to refine model outputs.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of professional experience in regulatory or compliance law.
• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school.
• Active or inactive license to practice law in the United States.
• Strong experience with AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA/anti‑corruption, healthcare regulatory, FDA submissions, privacy, environmental permitting, export control, or administrative hearings.
• Excellent written communication and high attention to detail.
