Compensation Consultant (Senior Associate)

About the role

Mercer's Career Consulting Team is looking for a Compensation Consultant (Senior Associate) based in Montreal. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research and analysis of industry and organization-specific issues, including business strategy, corporate performance, compensation and rewards practices and trends, and best practices in talent management.
• Use Marsh data, solutions, methodologies and network of experts to develop solutions that meet clients' workforce and rewards objectives.
• Develop workforce rewards programs such as salary structures, incentive programs, job evaluation systems, pay equity and transparency programs, skills frameworks and job architectures.
• Prepare client presentations, including recommendations presented to executives, senior management and HR leaders.
• Support Principals and Partners in business development, contributing to proposals as required.
• Contribute to internal practice development, including new solutions, intellectual capital and training and development.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Bilingualism in English and French.
• Preferred: experience in management consulting, total rewards, compensation, finance, human resources or accounting.
• Preferred: BComm, HBA/MBA, MIR or related degree (finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, HR and/or accounting) or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Project management, data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design (preferred).
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a solid background in Excel.
• Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
