About the role
The Community Life Advisor supports the cooperative and democratic life of the caisse, helping to strengthen its presence in the local community and promote member engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement community support guidelines and action plans.
- Plan, execute, and monitor community, cooperative, and democratic activities in collaboration with senior management.
- Identify community needs, challenges, and opportunities through consultation with members, clients, and partner organisations.
- Manage contribution requests (funds, donations, sponsorships), analyse files, make recommendations and ensure follow‑up in line with the caisse’s business plan.
- Support the general manager and directors in maintaining an active community presence and building relationships with clienteles and organisations.
- Promote and support community involvement programmes and tools related to cooperative life.
- Oversee education and promotion of the cooperative identity to directors, managers, employees, members and clients.
- Coordinate educational initiatives for members and youth, maintaining links with schools.
- Assist in organising caisse events such as annual general meetings, special meetings and conferences focused on community and democratic life.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least one year of relevant experience (other combinations of education and experience may be considered).
- Fluency in French.
- Knowledge of community involvement tools and financial‑literacy programmes.
- Familiarity with local socioeconomic issues and partner organisations.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for events.
