Communications Specialist, Social Media and Content

About the role

The Communications Specialist, Social Media and Content will help raise the profile of Sinai Health’s specialized care, people, and research. You will plan, coordinate, and produce content across social media, website, and digital signage to support the organization’s brand promise.

Key responsibilities

• Generate ideas, write, and develop content and campaigns that align with the Sinai Health brand and strategic priorities.
• Create and maintain an editorial calendar, overseeing daily posting on social media, website news, and digital signage.
• Stay current on media trends to ensure timely, informative content.
• Collaborate with Creative Services to produce compelling assets and brief freelance writers as needed.
• Monitor social media channels, engage with communities, and manage reputation and issue response.
• Act as after‑hours corporate communications representative on a rotational basis.
• Report on KPIs, draw insights, and continuously improve content performance.
• Maintain social media guidelines, governance processes, and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience or understanding of the health‑care sector is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Analytics (or similar analytics tools).
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms.
• Experience with digital signage and content management systems.
