Communications Assistant – Part‑time

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Director – Communications & Government Relations, the Communications Assistant supports a range of communications activities, events and initiatives for St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay.

Key responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties related to communications projects.
• Coordinate internal and external events and public engagements.
• Provide copywriting, proofreading and content support for web and social media platforms.

Required profile

• Diploma in office administration, business administration or a secretarial program.
• Significant experience in a corporate environment, preferably healthcare.
• Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture and worldview and respect for diverse cultural teachings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an inter‑professional team and maintain regular attendance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Content Management Systems for web and social content posting.
• Experience using Canva or similar design applications.
• Advanced use of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 suite.
