About the role
The Communications Assistant role supports the Student Affairs Office by leading in‑person tours of the Macdonald Campus. You will welcome prospective students, families, guidance counselors and alumni, sharing your own student experience and providing clear information about campus life.
Key responsibilities
- Host in‑person campus tours for prospective students, families, counselors and alumni.
- Greet visitors, answer general inquiries about Macdonald Campus and share personal student experiences.
- Provide clear, engaging information and respond to questions during tours.
Required profile
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Strong verbal communication and public‑speaking abilities.
- Customer‑service orientation with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
Required skills
- Effective oral presentation skills.
- Ability to convey information clearly to groups.
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $16.70 (CAD).
- Part‑time schedule, approximately 5 hours per week.
- Fixed‑term contract from September 4 2026 to December 7 2026.
- Experience working in a university environment and engaging with diverse audiences.
