Communication Specialist - Internal Communications

About the role

You will join Moneris' Internal Communications team within Human Resources to help shape how employees understand company priorities, connect to culture, and engage with key initiatives. Working closely with cross‑functional partners, you will plan, execute, and report on a variety of internal communication programs.

Key responsibilities

• Review, track and manage all requests for internal communications support, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain the corporate content calendar, collaborating with partners to prioritize and execute communications.
• Write and edit employee news stories, intranet posts, Viva Engage updates, presentations and surveys.
• Partner with project teams to identify communication needs, recommend channels and develop supporting materials.
• Ensure all communications align with corporate brand standards and voice.
• Measure channel performance and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement.
• Support internal events such as town halls, webinars and recognition programs with materials and logistics.
• Assist executive communications and change‑management messaging as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2‑4 years of experience in a communications role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

What we offer

• Base salary range of $57,000‑$80,000 CAD per year.
