Commercial Account Manager – Insurance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to join a growing commercial insurance team in Ottawa. The role involves acting as the primary liaison for commercial clients, managing policy changes, and supporting business growth in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for coverage questions, policy adjustments, and service requests.
• Prepare underwriting submissions, gather client information, and negotiate terms and pricing with insurers.
• Review expiring coverage, re‑market policies as needed, and ensure timely renewal completion.
• Issue certificates of insurance, binders, endorsements, and maintain compliant file notes.

Required profile

• RIBO license.
• Minimum three years of experience in commercial insurance.
• Strong relationship‑building abilities and capacity to work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Additional insurance education (CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.) is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with the Applied Epic insurance platform.
