Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support the execution of multiple clinical research studies within the Pediatric and Adult departments of the Research Institute of the MUHC. Working closely with investigators and healthcare staff, the coordinator ensures patient safety, protocol compliance, and high‑quality data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility through interviews and medical record review.
• Maintain and complete medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, as well as source documentation.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare protocol‑related orders and requests.
• Coordinate data collection, source documentation, and respond to queries from the research team.
• Conduct protocol‑specific training sessions and manage Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with pathology services to request slides and tissue blocks as needed.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Fluent in both oral and written French and English.
