Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support the successful conduct of clinical research studies within the Pediatric and Adult departments of the Research Institute of the MUHC. Working under the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Research, the coordinator will manage patient interactions, ensure protocol compliance, and facilitate data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for study protocols.
• Maintain medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, as well as source documentation.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare protocol‑related orders.
• Coordinate data collection, source documentation, and respond to information queries.
• Conduct protocol‑specific training and manage Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators, healthcare personnel, and pathology services.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

Required skills

• Advanced oral and written French.
• Advanced oral and written English.
• Experience caring for pediatric patients.
