Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support the execution of clinical research studies within the Pediatric and Adult departments of the Research Institute of the MUHC. Working under the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Research, the role ensures patient management and study coordination are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for study protocols in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain and complete medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, as well as protocol‑specific source documentation.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare orders for protocol‑related procedures.
• Coordinate data collection, source documentation, and respond to queries from investigators.
• Conduct protocol‑specific trainings and manage Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators, healthcare personnel, and pathology services to fulfill study requirements.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); a Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the OIIQ.
• Fluent in oral and written French and English.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of French (oral and written).
• Advanced knowledge of English (oral and written).
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
