Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Oncology, Phase 1)

About the role

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse to support Phase 1 oncology studies within the Centre for Innovative Medicine. Working closely with investigators and health‑care staff, you will manage patient participation and ensure the smooth execution of clinical protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for oncology protocols.
• Maintain accurate medication, adverse‑event, and questionnaire logs.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare protocol‑related orders.
• Coordinate data collection, source documentation, and respond to research queries.
• Conduct protocol‑specific trainings and create nursing alerts for the oncology day centre.
• Prepare and submit Research Ethics Board applications.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).

Required skills

• Advanced oral and written proficiency in French.
• Advanced oral and written proficiency in English.
