Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Oncology)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support oncology clinical studies at the Centre for Innovative Medicine, a dedicated research facility within the McGill University Health Centre. Reporting to the Manager of Oncology Research, the incumbent will manage patient enrollment, safety monitoring, and data collection for multiple protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain accurate medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, and ensure source documentation compliance.
• Monitor patient safety, medication adherence, and coordinate protocol‑related orders, pathology requests, and procedures.
• Collect and organize all study data, respond to queries, and prepare research ethics board submissions.
• Deliver protocol‑specific training and create nursing alerts for the oncology day centre.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree considered an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Experience in hematology/oncology and clinical research is an asset.
• Good‑standing member of the OIIQ.

• Advanced oral and written proficiency in French.
• Advanced oral and written proficiency in English.
