About the role
The Clinical Research Coordinator will support the Heart Failure Research Program at St. Paul’s Hospital, coordinating day‑to‑day research and clinical trial activities. Reporting to the Research Manager and ultimately to the Principal Investigator, the role ensures projects stay on schedule and meet scientific standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate research and clinical trial initiatives within the Heart Failure Research Program.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain ethical and institutional approvals.
- Collect, analyse, and report study data.
- Oversee grant budgets, monitor expenditures, and assist with financial reporting.
- Prepare grant proposals and support knowledge‑translation activities.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and shipping laboratory samples.
- Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure successful completion.
Required profile
- Experience coordinating clinical research projects, preferably in cardiology or heart failure.
- Familiarity with research ethics, institutional review processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to work with investigators, clinicians, and hospital staff.
- Ability to manage budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial documentation.
- Detail‑oriented with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
